Accessibility Statement

Last updated: April 28, 2026

1. Our commitment

Lightboard (business number 207160151, Ganei Am, Israel) is committed to providing equal access to all visitors of our site, including people with disabilities. We have done — and continue to do — our best to make the site comfortable and usable for everyone, in line with:

  • The Israeli Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Law, 5758-1998
  • The Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Service Accessibility Adjustments) Regulations, 5773-2013
  • Israeli Standard 5568 (based on W3C WCAG 2.0 Level AA)

2. Conformance level

The site conforms to Level AA of Israeli Standard 5568 / WCAG 2.0. Specific accommodations implemented include:

  • Skip-to-content link as the first focusable element on every page.
  • Visible focus indicator on every interactive element, with a contrasting outline.
  • ARIA labels on all meaningful buttons, links, form fields, and navigation landmarks.
  • Semantic HTML with a clear heading order, landmarks, and a logical reading sequence.
  • Language and direction — Hebrew is delivered in RTL, English in LTR, both signaled through the HTML lang and dir attributes.
  • Alt text for content-bearing images.
  • Respect for the prefers-reduced-motion user preference.
  • Focus trapping in dialogs and side drawers — Tab cycles within the modal, Escape closes and returns focus to the trigger.
  • A built-in accessibility menu, available on every page through the floating button at the bottom of the screen.

3. Built-in accessibility menu

The floating accessibility button (lower-left of every page) opens a panel with the following adjustments:

  • Text size — default / larger / much larger
  • High contrast — switch to a high-contrast palette of light text on a dark background
  • Highlight links — adds a visible underline and outline to every link
  • Readable font — replaces the brand fonts with a more standard, easier-to-read font
  • Reset — returns to the default settings

Settings are stored in your browser and restored on your next visit.

4. How accessibility was tested

  • Automated audits with Lighthouse, axe DevTools, and WAVE.
  • Keyboard-only navigation testing.
  • Manual testing with VoiceOver (macOS, iOS) and NVDA (Windows) screen readers.
  • Color contrast verification against Israeli Standard 5568 / WCAG 2.0 AA.
  • Browsers tested: Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge in current versions, on both desktop and mobile (iOS, Android).

5. Areas not fully accessible

The site is built on Shopify Hydrogen and uses Shopify's secure checkout. Most of this infrastructure has been reviewed and meets AA, but some areas may have edge-case gaps outside our direct control:

  • Checkout — operated by Shopify and may have a slightly different accessibility profile.
  • Embedded third-party content — social media embeds, video players, or external apps depend on the third-party provider.
  • Legacy PDF documents, where they exist — we are progressively replacing them with accessible HTML.

If you hit a barrier in any of these areas, please reach out and we'll provide an accessible alternative.

6. Alternative service channels

  • Phone customer service: +972 55-720-9448 for live, Hebrew-speaking support.
  • Email service: office@lightboard.co.il, with a written reply within 5 business days.

8. Updates and continuous improvement

This statement will be updated whenever we make a meaningful change to the site or to the accessibility infrastructure. We are committed to continuous improvement of the experience for users with disabilities, and we welcome feedback.
