Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 28, 2026

This policy describes what personal information Lightboard (a sole proprietorship registered in Israel under business number 207160151, located at Ganei Am, Israel — "we", "us", "our") collects when you visit the site and the online store, how that information is used, and the rights you have over it. By using the site or providing information through it, you agree to this policy.

This policy is drafted in accordance with the Israeli Privacy Protection Law, 5741-1981, and its regulations — including amendment no. 13 (5784-2024), which expanded the responsibilities of database controllers.

1. What we collect

1.1 Information you provide directly

  • When you place an order: full name, shipping address, phone number, email address, and payment details. Payment details are transmitted directly to the payment processor and are not retained by us.
  • When you create a customer account: name, email, password (hashed), order history, and saved addresses.
  • When you contact us: the name, email, phone number and the content of your message.
  • When you subscribe to the newsletter: email address and (optionally) name.

1.2 Information collected automatically

  • IP address, browser and operating system, screen resolution, language.
  • Pages viewed, products viewed and added to cart, time spent.
  • The source that brought you to the site (search engine, social network, marketing campaign).
  • Cookie data — see section 4.

2. How we use your information

  • To process and fulfill your order, and to keep you informed of its status.
  • For customer service, responding to inquiries, and handling complaints.
  • For security, fraud prevention, and detecting misuse of the site.
  • To improve user experience, understand preferences, and measure site performance.
  • For marketing communications about products, offers and posts — only with your explicit opt-in consent, with the option to unsubscribe at any time.
  • To comply with our legal obligations (invoicing, reporting duties, transaction recordkeeping).

3. Who we share information with

We do not sell your personal information. Sharing is limited to the following cases:

  • Service providers required to operate the site and fulfill your order: the payment processor (to charge your card), the shipping carrier (for delivery), email and marketing providers, and cloud infrastructure providers (Shopify, Shopify Hydrogen / Oxygen). These providers are bound by confidentiality and information security obligations and may not use the information for unrelated purposes.
  • Government authorities — when required by law, by court order, or by a competent authority.
  • Legal proceedings — to defend the rights, property or safety of Lightboard or a third party, to the extent permitted by law.

4. Cookies and similar technologies

The site uses cookies, pixels and similar tracking tools, of these types:

  • Strictly necessary cookies — operate the site, the cart, the customer account, and security. No consent required.
  • Performance and analytics cookies — help us understand how the site is used and how to improve it (for example Google Analytics, Shopify Analytics).
  • Marketing cookies — used to tailor advertising (for example Meta Pixel, Google Ads).

You can block cookies through your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may break parts of the site.

5. Data retention and security

5.1 Data is stored on Lightboard's records and on the providers listed above, mainly on cloud infrastructure managed by Shopify Inc.

5.2 We apply security measures that are reasonable and customary in the industry, including TLS/SSL encryption in transit, access controls, hashed passwords, and periodic backups.

5.3 No system can guarantee absolute protection against intrusion, theft, or misuse. Beyond the level of liability mandated by applicable law, we are not liable for damages caused by data exposure.

5.4 Retention period: up to 7 years from the last purchase, in line with Israeli accounting and tax recordkeeping rules. You can request deletion of information not required for legal recordkeeping — see section 6.

6. Your rights

Anyone whose personal information we hold has the following rights:

  • Right of access — to receive a summary of the information we hold about you.
  • Right of correction — to ask us to correct inaccurate or outdated information.
  • Right of deletion — to ask us to delete information not required for a legal duty.
  • Right to opt out of marketing — through the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, or by contacting us directly.
  • Right of portability — to receive a copy of your information, where applicable under law.

To exercise any of these rights, email office@lightboard.co.il with your request and a means of verifying your identity.

7. Children

The site is not directed to children and we do not knowingly collect information from people under 18 without parental or guardian consent. If you believe a minor has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is the one published on the site, effective as of its publication date. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the update.
