Refund and Cancellation Policy

This policy sets out the cancellation, return and refund terms for any purchase made at Lightboard (business number 207160151, Ganei Am, Israel). It is written in line with the Israeli Consumer Protection Law, 5741-1981 and the Consumer Protection (Cancellation of a Transaction) Regulations, 5771-2010.

1. Statutory cancellation window

1.1 You may cancel an order within 14 days of receiving the product, or within 14 days of receiving the transaction document (the receipt or order confirmation), whichever is later.

1.2 The cancellation right is governed by the Israeli Consumer Protection Law, 5741-1981.

2. How to cancel

Send a cancellation notice through one of the following channels, including your name, order number, and the items you'd like to cancel:

After we acknowledge your notice, we'll send return instructions covering the return address, packing requirements, and any documents needed.

3. Returning the product

3.1 The product must reach us in its original condition — intact, unused, in the original packaging, and including all included parts and accessories.

3.2 Return shipping is your responsibility and at your expense for cancellations that are not due to a defect or non-conformity. We do not accept returns of items damaged in customer-side handling.

3.3 For cancellations due to a defect, non-conformity, or shipping damage, we cover return shipping in full.

4. Refund

4.1 After we receive and inspect the product, we issue the refund within 14 days of receipt of your cancellation notice, to the same payment method used for the original purchase.

4.2 Cancellation fee: for cancellations not due to a defect or non-conformity, we may charge a cancellation fee of 5% of the transaction value or ₪100, whichever is lower, plus the cost of returning the product.

4.3 For cancellations due to a defect or non-conformity, no cancellation fee or return shipping cost is charged.

5. Items that cannot be cancelled

Under section 14C(d) of the Israeli Consumer Protection Law and the cancellation regulations, the following cannot be cancelled once production has begun:

• The Lightboard, and any product that includes personalized photos, engraving, or custom touches.
• Made-to-order items built to dimensions, finishes, or materials chosen by the customer.

Exception: if the item arrives defective, fails in production, or doesn't match the order, we will cancel and refund or replace it at no cost.

6. Defective or wrong items

6.1 Contact us as soon as you receive a product that is defective, missing, or different from what you ordered. Photos of the defect are very helpful.

6.2 Email office@lightboard.co.il with your order number and photos, or call +972 55-720-9448.

6.3 We'll review the case and offer: an identical replacement, an alternative product, a repair, or a full refund. Return shipping for defects is fully covered by us.

7. Cancelling before shipment

You can cancel an order without a cancellation fee if you do so before the product ships, and before production starts (for made-to-order items). Reach out as soon as possible after placing the order.

8. Returning a gift

A gift recipient may request an exchange for a different product of equal value, or a store credit. A monetary refund will only be processed back to the original card used to make the purchase.

9. Who can cancel

The cancellation right applies to private consumers buying for personal use. It does not apply to wholesale or B2B orders, which are governed by the separate agreement signed with the buyer.
